DRDO Recruitment 2024: The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) is a major organization of the Government of India that plays a leading role in the development of defense technologies. DRDO recruits for various posts from time to time, and this time DRDO has released a notification for the post of Junior Research Fellow for the year 2024, And the last date to apply for this government job is 23 September 2024.

Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet the following educational criteria to be eligible for the JRF position:
- Engineering/Science Stream:
- B.E./B.Tech in a relevant engineering discipline with first-class (minimum 60%) from a recognized university or institute.
- Candidates should also have a valid GATE score in the relevant field.
- Science Stream:
- M.Sc. in relevant science disciplines (Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, etc.) from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks.
- A valid NET/GATE score is mandatory for the science stream.
Some DRDO laboratories may have specific academic and research requirements related to particular projects.
DRDO Recruitment 2024 Salary
The selected candidates will receive a competitive salary as per DRDO norms. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹37,000. In addition, they will be provided with HRA and other allowances as per government rules.
Selection Process
After the initial screening of the candidates, the eligible candidates will be called for an interview. After that, the final selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the interview.
Total Number of Posts
DRDO has released a vacancy for only one post for the position of Junior Research Fellow.
Age Limit
As for the age limit, candidates should not exceed 28 years of age. Age relaxation will be provided to candidates from Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes and other reserved categories as per government rules.
- 5 years for SC/ST candidates
- 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates
